Per lui ogni suono, ogni movimento era musica e ritmo.» Sono parole di Carl Czerny, l’industrioso compositore e pedagogo austriaco che di Beethoven fu allievo dal 1801 al 1804, scritte a proposito dell’ultimo movimento “Allegretto” della Sonata in re minore No. 17 Op. 31 No. 2 nel fondamentale studio “Sulla corretta esecuzione di tutte le opere per pianoforte di Beethoven”. Non ci è dato sapere se ciò sia vero o meno, ma di certo questa è una delle musiche più ipnotiche del grande maestro di Bonn. La Sonata chiuderà la prima parte del recital pianistico che Sandro Ivo Bartoli terrà nella Chiesa di San Francesco a Gargnano il 15 agosto alle 21 per l’anteprima del Garda Musik Week 2022. «Beethoven extemporized the theme for this Sonata in 1803, as he saw a horseman gallop by his window. Many of his finest works were produced under similar events. With him, every sound, every motion was music and rhythm». These words were penned by Carl Czerny, the industrious Austrian composer and pedagogue who studied with Beethoven from 1801 to 1804, about the last movement “Allegretto” of the Sonata in d minor No. 17 Op. 31 No. 2 in his fundamental study “On the proper performance of all Beethoven’s works for the piano”. We have no way of knowing the veracity of the story, but certainly this is one of the most hypnotic works of the great maestro. This Sonata will close the first half of Sandro Ivo Bartoli’s recital for the Garda Musik Week on August 15th at 9 PM in the Church of St. Francis, Gargnano.
